Inka Digital Works (“we”, “us”) is a digital marketing agency based in Toronto, Ontario, Canada. This policy explains what personal information we collect on inkadigitalworks.com, why we collect it, and what you can ask us to do with it. We follow Canada’s Personal Information Protection and Electronic Documents Act (PIPEDA).
What we collect
When you fill in a form. Our contact and strategy session forms ask for your name, your email and, when you choose, a link to your website and a short message. We use this only to reply to you and to prepare a quote or a session.
When you leave a comment on the blog. WordPress keeps the name, email and comment you enter, plus your IP address, to publish the comment and to block spam.
When you visit the site. We use Google Analytics 4 to understand how people find and use the site: pages visited, approximate location (city or country), device and browser, and how you arrived. Google Analytics sets cookies in your browser to do this. We do not use this data to identify you personally, and we do not run advertising pixels on this site.
When you book a call. The “Book a strategy session” button takes you to Calendly, a separate service. What you enter there is handled under Calendly’s own privacy policy.
How we use it
- To answer your message and send the quote, proposal or session you asked for.
- To improve the site, based on aggregate visit statistics.
- To keep the site secure and free of spam.
We reply by email only. We do not add you to a newsletter or a mailing list unless you ask us to, and we never sell or rent your information.
Who else handles it
To run the site we rely on a few service providers. They process data on our behalf and only for the purposes above:
| Provider | What it does |
|---|---|
| Hostinger | Hosts the website and its database |
| WordPress and Elementor | Run the site and store form submissions in our database |
| Our email provider | Delivers form messages to hello@inkadigitalworks.com |
| Google (Analytics 4, Fonts) | Visit statistics and website fonts |
| Calendly | Meeting booking, only if you use it |
| Instagram (Meta) | Shows posts and reels on our portfolio, only if you click on one |
Some of these providers store data outside Canada, including in the United States. When that happens, your information may be subject to the laws of that country.
How long we keep it
We keep form messages and our email exchanges for as long as we are talking with you or working together, and up to 2 years after our last contact, unless the law requires longer. Google Analytics data is kept according to the retention setting of our Analytics account. You can ask us to delete your information at any time.
Cookies
The site uses cookies that are needed for it to work, and Google Analytics cookies for statistics. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings. The site will still work without them.
Instagram posts and reels on our portfolio load only if you click on one. When that happens, Instagram, owned by Meta, may set its own cookies under Meta’s privacy policy.
Your rights
You can ask us to:
- tell you what personal information we hold about you,
- correct it,
- delete it,
- stop using it for statistics or follow-up.
